NOLUG, the Norwegian Online User Group, is a member organization for users of online information, particularly librarians and others who have a professional interest in the storage and retrieval of such information.  The purpose of the organization is to promote the interests of users of online systems by:

  • stimulating communication and exchange of knowledge/experiences between members
  • organizing educational meetings and training events
  • interacting with the information industry as well as private developers regarding commercial databases, software, applications, and other information products relevant to the needs and interests of our members.

NOLUG arranges about 4 meetings per year. Topics that have been covered in past meetings include networks, presentation of database products, hosting services, utilities for internet users, finding information on the internet, etc.
